IIFT 2022 ANALYSIS: SYLLABUS
IIFT 2022 ANALYSIS: QUANTITATIVE ANALYSIS
This part has a few questions that need extensive math, and it is somewhat challenging overall. The vast majority of the problems in the quantitative section are based on arithmetic and geometry. The remainder of the problems are based on algebra and contemporary mathematics. About half of the questions using quantitative analysis can be answered correctly.
Number System | Time & Distance | Allegation & Mixtures | Time & Work |
SI & CI | Height & Distance | Partnership | Arithmetic progression |
Geometry (Lines, angles, Triangles, Spheres, Rectangles, Cube, Cone, etc.) | Indices & Surds | Time-Speed-Distance | Permutations & Combinations |
Mensuration | Ratios and Proportion | HCF | Probability |
Logarithms, | Percentages | LCM | Geometric Progression |
IIFT 2022 ANALYSIS: LOGICAL REASONING & DATA INTERPRETATION
In the LR portion of the IIFT exam, you will encounter questions that are both parts of a set and stand alone. These are typically more difficult and time-consuming than the DI portion of the segment. On the other hand, LR questions are typically manageable for an exam taker who has adequate preparation, and approximately half of these questions can be tried.
Selections | Coding-Decoding | Seating Arrangements |
Linear word formation | Series & Analysis | Family tree problem |
Comparisons | Input & Output | Symbol Based problems |
Deductions | Directions |
Questions on the DI are often solvable and have an average level of difficulty. The sole format for these questions is a set, and the information is presented in graphical form. In the DILR portion, the weight given to the DI part is very close to that given to the whole DI weight.

IIFT 2022 ANALYSIS: VERBAL ABILITY & READING COMPREHENSION
The majority of the verbal questions on the VARC exam are based on vocabulary as well as grammar, with the former receiving the majority of the weightage. This section is simple and doesn’t require much effort.
Synonyms-Antonyms | Matching word meanings |
Odd word out | Fill in the blanks |
Grammar | Spellings |
Prepositions | Para Jumbles |
Phrases | Figures of speech |
Analogies | Sentence Correction |
Verbal Reasoning | Critical Reasoning |
Within the Verbal Ability segment of the test, RC is subdivided into its subsection. This has four passages, and after each passage, there are five to seven questions. This section has a variety of questions ranging from easy to intermediate in difficulty. In an ideal scenario, around 70 percent of the questions in VARC can be answered correctly.
IIFT 2022 ANALYSIS: GENERAL AWARENESS
The General Knowledge (GK) component of the IIFT exam includes both current affairs questions and more traditional GK questions, with an emphasis on the former. If you have a high level of general knowledge, you should be able to answer almost half of these questions correctly.
The material for the IIFT syllabus for both portions of the general knowledge examination comes from the following areas:
History | Banking |
Geography | Literature |
Mythology | International Affairs |
Sports | Politics |
Science | Business |
Films | Society |
Awards | Industry |
IIFT 2022 ANALYSIS: CUT-OFF
- General males: 130
- General females: 125
- NC/OBC males: 118
- NC/OBC females: 113
- SC/ST/PWD: 90
CONCLUSION:
The level of difficulty of the IIFT test is often rather high, consisting of challenging VARC and calculation-intensive Quants questions. It is anticipated that the difficulty level of the question paper for the IIFT 2022 will be moderate. A decent effort is regarded as 50–55 right answers out of 110 questions in the paper. Candidates for the IIFT are expected to demonstrate an ability to correctly answer at least 60 questions.
The level of negative marking that is assigned to each section of the IIFT exam varies. In the reasoning, VARC, and quantitative parts, you will lose one point for every incorrect answer you provide. The amount of points deducted for incorrect answers in the General Awareness section is 0.5. The IIFT 2023 examination will be held over the course of two hours, beginning at 10:00 AM and ending at 12:00 PM. There is no time limit for each section of this examination; nevertheless, candidates are required to set a time limit for each section to ensure that they do not run out of time during the final session.
